Roadside flowers. It
's been a beautiful morning. Already in the mid 70's. The grass is starting to get the brown "summer look"
Hiway 138 in the morning.
The empty place was just "clear cut". It will be replanted this summer, and in about 30 years, will be ready for harvest again.
Wild blackberry bushes along Hiway 138. Miles of them, and they'll be ripe for the taking when we have the ride near here in 2008! Come to the Oregon Trail VROC "get together"
Tomaselli's, one of my favorites. We had a terrific breakfast here, and I looked at my mail for the first time in 2 days! They have WiFi here now.
Some contented cows near Elktown, OR.
The Umpqua River along Hiway 38, just east of Reedsport.
This is one of the places where we usually see wild Elk. Guess they are over the hill visiting Steve Lacewell today. The reserve borders on his property...........handy
We stopped in Reedsport on the way home for a short visit with Guy. He was getting ready to install a Voyager Trike Kit on a new Harley. This is the 6th one he's sold and installed. He can put them on just about any bike now. I should have taken a picture of it, but just snapped one of the World Record Holder, and headed on home. This is what I wanted to show my Bro-in-Law.

My Brother-in-law built his house in Hidden Lake Estates, between the towns of Middletown and Lower Lake, California. I left the house around 7 AM to get a pipe threaded, and to talk to the County Office about the final inspection we hope to get done by the 31st. The area around his house is overrun with deer and huge wild turkeys. This was a group of 4 Bucks, all in velvet. Picture taken a block from the new house. I took this from the bike, the deer crossed the road right in front of me.
Yesterday we counted 8 balloons, today only 3.
Taken out of my Bro-in-law's front window at 7 AM today, another beautiful California morning.
Hand held using some digital zoom. I was surprised at how good this came out. I was sitting on the bike when I took this today.

Oregon Coast below Port Orford. First time I've pulled a trailer with this Wing, it does fine. I din't take many pictures today, I just enjoyed the ride. It was about 450 miles, and I didn't leave Coos Bay until 9:30 AM. It was chilly until mid afternoon, then as I got away from the ocean and into the wine and farm country, it got up into the low 80's, very nice. There was lots of traffic on the road, all the tourist traps were very busy.
The mouth of the Rogue River at Gold Beach, OR. They have a couple of companies here that provide jet boat ride up the Rogue. It's about a hundred miles from the city of Grants Pass, that's over on I-5 to this spot. 54 years ago, when I was 12 years old, I hiked all the way down through the wilderness area to right where this picture was taken. It's still very isolated from the rest of the world in this area, there never has been a road put all the way through the mountains here to the valley.
Typical beach on the Southern Oregon Coast.. This is just North of Gold Beach, OR
Wild Elk in a resere near Orick, California. The antlers are still small and in velvet this time of year.
Redwoods in Richardson grove on Highway 101. It's a beautiful drive through here. I chose an area where there was some sun. In the deep, dark, woods with the huge trees, it's hard to get a good picture, and even harder to find a wide place to pull over since the pavement got right to the edge of some of the trees.
Hmmm. Cobb Mountain? Maybe the Old thrillseeker Homestead!
